FOOD SERVICE
We specialise in working with catering teams to help enhance the meal and dining experience for your residents. This includes meeting meal size and nutrient recommendations, menu planning, special diets and allergies, education for staff, meal presentation.
MENU REVIEWS & AUDITS
We nutritionally assess the menu and help to identify areas for continuous improvement and enhanced meal quality. Our skilled team will ensure that your menu reflects the nutritional needs of your residents, best practice in Aged Care and meets the national recommendations for the provision of meals in aged care
SUPPLEMENT REVIEWS
Oral nutritional supplements are often a significant cost to Aged Care Groups. We can assist by conducting supplement reviews, audits and supplement reductions. This can save Aged Care Groups a substantial amount of money, in some cases hundreds of thousands to over a million dollars per year in savings. We use a food first approach, quality strategies when auditing and enhancing the real food experience for your residents so they may enjoy tasty, wholesome meals instead of the burden of oral supplements.
STAFF EDUCATION
NutriPerks provide practical face-to-face education sessions for residential aged care homes. Our educations are designed to ensure clinical and catering staff are upskilled in the provision of quality nutrition care. Topics for education can include; general nutrition and hydration, food fortification, weighing residents, dysphagia, malnutrition, healthy eating, wound healing, IDDSI, texture modified diets, diabetes updates, mealtime assistance and many more.
WEIGH REVIEWS
Weigh reviews are offered for all residents within your homes to identify any residents who may have lost or gained weight, flag this with the CCC and discuss recommendations for residents of concern. Weigh reviews assess weight loss and gain on a month-to-month basis as well as a 3-monthly basis and continuous loss or gain. This is to ensure the homes are aware of and addressing unplanned weight loss according to the National Aged Care Mandatory Quality Indicator Program.
